Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to accept the October 23, 2008 minutes as written.
OLD BUSINESS:
ATB: The ATB hearings have been scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2008. No contact from Mrs Sroka or her Attorney regarding permitting the Assessors an interior inspection of the home at 26 Park Rd. Left messages for Al Joyce, Bedrock Financial LLC and Russell Cable, Dusty Corp. with Mr. Cable returning my call and will further inquire information from Building department.
RECAP: Bureau of Local Assessment approved the Classification Report (LA-4), New Growth Report (LA-13) & Interim Adjustment Report (LA-15). BLA will require by next fiscal year to change any property in chapterland to be a mixed use property.
NEW BUSINESS:
Excise: The board approved the following Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Abatements: 2008 in the amount of $431.04 and 2007 in the amount of $83.23. The board denied one Motor Vehicle Abatement due to being too low to abate by law.
Chapterland Application: All chapterland applications put before the board were reviewed. Two applications were denied due to late filing. If an interim year adjustment takes place for FY10 these applicants will have another opportunity to re-apply. Also signed and notarized were 6 chapterland liens.
Country Club Safety meeting: Diane filled the board in on the meeting held Wednesday, October 20, 2008 with our Public Safety Chief’s and the residents from the Country Club sub-division. It was apparent that the inconvenience to the residents was foremost in their minds. The residents felt that street signage and properly identifying their homes would be a simple solution. Minutes from the meeting are posted on the Police department’s web page. More information to research and another meeting most likely will occur.
Updates: Tax Title Auction inquiries have kept the office very busy. Auction will take place tonight. HHCAA Annual Meeting to be held December 9, 2008.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, November 20, 2008 @ 10:30 a.m.
ADJOURN: At 12:15 p.m, a motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously.
